The 2X42 Super Strop Leather Honing Polishing Belt is a fantastic addition to sharpening with a 2X42 Belt Sander. When used properly with our Made in USA Buffing Compound, it can leave an incredible mirror polish finish on your knife's edge, and you can accomplish this in a fraction of the time compared to hand stropping.

To use the Super Strop, remember to apply light pressure and allow the belt to do the work. Move the knife at the same speed you would if you were sharpening with an abrasive belt. You can make just 2 passes, at a slightly lower angle, on both sides of the knife and check for the burr and test your sharpness. Depending on what grit progression you used, more stropping may be necessary.

The 2X42 in. Super Strop works fast and can be used not only as the last stage of sharpening, but also to maintain an edge in between sharpening. The Premium Made in USA Buffing compound included is an ultra-fine abrasive specifically designed to be applied to the Leather Stropping Belt. This compound will help to refine the edge of your knife, removing very small fragments of the Burr or Wire Edge, which can extend the life of the edge.

The 2 in. X 42 in. Super Strop Leather Honing Belts are made slightly short and may require stretching to be installed. If you believe your belt is too small, you can contact the manufacturer, as they strive to provide the best customer service and support.
